Recently, at Mao Live House, a seifuku (sailor uniform) event was held which gave me the opportunity I was looking for to finally buy the school uniform of my dream. Updates: Store Closures!

After living in Shanghai for more than two years, I've come to accecpt the sad reality that shops, big or small, often struggle to stay afloat in this city. Between the high rent prices and the booming online shopping trend, it's a miracle if a shop can stay open for more than a few months.

I've done my best to drop by shops that I've previously blogged about to bring you the lasted info on what shops have closed down or moved locations.

Early this winter, in  desperate need of warm clothes, I headed over to OPA mall to check out a shop that is quickly becoming my go to store for casual cute fashion, Honeys.

Anime street

Do you love anime? 

If so, you must check out one of the best spots I've found for anime goods in Shanghai.

Along Wenmiao Road you'll find a pedestrian street that looks like you stepped into another world made just for anime fans. On Wenmia Road you'll come across mountains of figmas, anime, and idol merchandise. All of them are ridiculously cheap and begging to be bought.

Product Review: rope wig

Hello dears, today I'll be reviewing a rope wig I recently purchased from Taobao. 

As you can see, it's a long weft or rope of curled hair that you can use to give volume to pony tails and buns! I chose a rope wig over a half wig or pony tail wig because 1)I'm new to daily wig usage 2) I feel there are more styling options that can be achieved with a rope wig. 

11.11 Single's Day Sales

November 11th, marks Single's Day in China (11.11- all the numbers are 1!). Shops are having incredible sales for 24 hours in order to celebrate this unofficial holiday. You definitely shouldn't miss this great shopping event!

Liz Lisa Official Tmall Shop

You might have figured out by now that I am in love with the Japanese brand, Liz Lisa and was so excited when I came to Shanghai and found a shop at Jiu Guang mall. Recently though, the shop closed down and left me feeling more than a little sad. But I have good news!

Liz Lisa has an officially licensed Tmall shop that ships all over China! 

Liz Lisa Shanghai has closed!

 

I'm sorry to bring such terrible news, but Liz Lisa, previously at Jiu Guang department store has closed! 

I do not have an official notice of the store closure, but for now, it is safe to assume Liz Lisa Shanghai has closed.
